This agreement
These terms are between you and Electrontechs (we
, us
, our
). They apply when you use this website and when you send us a project request through it. By using the site you accept them; when you send a request, you are asked to confirm that you accept them and the privacy policy before the request goes anywhere.
If you do not accept these terms, please use the phone number at the bottom of this page instead. You will never be worse off for choosing to call.
These terms cover the website, not the work. If you go on to engage us, that job is governed by the written scope of work you sign for it. Where the two ever conflict about the work itself, the signed scope of work wins.
What this site is, and is not
This site describes the kind of work we do so you can judge whether to talk to us. It is not an offer, a quote, or a contract, and nothing on it is a promise that a particular product, brand, or configuration will suit your property.
Prices and timelines are not published here for a reason: a real number needs a real site review. The budget bands in the request form help us plan the conversation, and they are not a quote from you or an estimate from us. A quote exists only when we put it in writing after seeing the property.
Security and fire alarm installation is licensed work. We hold the license shown at the foot of every page, NYS DOS License #12000300071, issued by the New York State Department of State. We work across New York State.
What you send us
The request form lets you send notes and attach files such as site plans, floor plans, drawings, and photographs. We call all of that your submission.
You keep ownership
Your submission stays yours. You give us permission to store it, read it, copy it, mark it up, and show it to the people who need to see it in order to answer you and to do the work, which may include our staff and any subcontractor or supplier working on your project. That permission is limited to those purposes, and it lasts as long as we keep the request under the privacy policy.
What you are confirming when you send it
By sending a submission you confirm that you have the right to send it and to let us use it as described above. This matters more than it sounds: architectural drawings, engineering plans, and survey documents are often owned by the architect, engineer, or surveyor rather than by the property owner, and passing them on can need their permission. Please check before you upload. You also confirm that your submission is not confidential to somebody else, does not contain malicious code, and does not include other people’s personal information beyond what is needed.
If a submission turns out to infringe someone’s rights or breaks these terms, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and claims that come directly from that. Nothing in this paragraph applies to anything we get wrong ourselves.
Confidentiality
We treat project details as commercially sensitive and we do not publish them. Even so, sending us something through this form does not by itself create a confidentiality agreement. If your plans need one, ask us first and we will sign a non disclosure agreement before you upload anything.
Please never send access codes, alarm codes, passwords, or live credentials through this form. There is no situation in which we need them to prepare a quote.
Ideas we did not ask for
Please do not send us unsolicited product ideas or business proposals. If you do, we cannot treat them as confidential and we are free to develop similar ideas independently, without owing you anything for them.
Using the site properly
Please do not:
- send requests you have no intention of following up, or submit false contact details;
- use the form to send advertising, recruitment pitches, or anything unlawful, threatening, or harassing;
- upload anything containing malware, or attempt to probe, scan, or break the security of the site;
- scrape the site, or use bots or automated tools against it, beyond ordinary search engine indexing;
- copy substantial parts of the site’s text, images, or design for your own commercial use.
We may block access or refuse a request if any of this happens. The form is rate limited, so a burst of automated submissions will simply be rejected.
Our content, imagery, and other companies’ brands
The text, layout, mark, and wordmark on this site belong to us. You may read, print, and share pages for your own purposes; you may not republish them as your own or use our name or mark to suggest a relationship that does not exist.
The images on this site are illustrative renders of the type of installation we do, not photographs of specific jobs, and they are generated rather than photographed. The AI disclosure explains this in full. Do not read a render as a depiction of a particular property or a promise about exactly what your installation will look like.
Manufacturer names and logos shown on this site, such as Honeywell and ADT and the other brands we list, belong to their owners. We show them to say what we install and, where stated, that we are an authorized dealer. They do not imply that those companies endorse or have reviewed this site. Product specifications and availability come from the manufacturers and can change without notice.
Where the site links to another company’s website, we do not control it and we are not responsible for what is on it.
Monitoring and other ongoing services
24/7 monitoring for video and alarm is delivered through our monitoring partners, Honeywell and ADT. If you take monitoring, that service runs under the monitoring provider’s own agreement, including whatever it says about response, availability, and liability. We will tell you which provider applies and give you their terms before anything is signed. Nothing on this website is a promise about monitoring response times.
Disclaimers about the site
We put real effort into keeping this site accurate and available, but we provide it as it is. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or free of every inaccuracy, and we do not guarantee that the general information here fits your particular property or situation. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non infringement in relation to the website.
This does not touch the work we do for you. Our obligations for an installation, including workmanship and any warranty, are set out in the contract for that job and are not limited or disclaimed by this page.
Limits on liability for the site
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for lost profits or lost data, arising out of your use of this website. Our total liability for any claim connected with the website is limited to one hundred United States dollars, which reflects that the site is provided free of charge.
Two things this limit does not do. It does not apply to the work we contract to perform for you, which is governed by that contract. And it does not exclude anything that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Copyright complaints
If you believe something on this site copies work you own, tell us and we will look into it promptly and remove anything that should not be there. Send us:
- your name, address, telephone number, and email;
- a description of the work you say has been copied;
- the address of the page on this site where it appears;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that, under penalty of perjury, you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner;
- your signature, electronic or physical.
Notices go to Electrontechs using the details under how to reach us. If we remove something you posted and you believe that was a mistake, you may send a counter notice with the same contact details, identifying the material and stating, under penalty of perjury, that you believe it was removed by mistake. We may then restore it. Anyone who repeatedly infringes will be blocked from sending us anything.
Please note that this site does not publish material submitted by visitors. What you send through the request form goes to us privately and never appears on a public page.
If we disagree
We would much rather sort a problem out directly, and almost every problem can be. So the first step is always to talk.
Step one: tell us, and give us 60 days
Before starting any formal proceeding about this website, please contact us using the details below, describe the problem, and say what you want done about it. We will do the same if the complaint is ours. Both of us agree to spend 60 days genuinely trying to resolve it that way.
Step two: arbitration, not court
If that does not work, you and we agree that any dispute about this website or these terms will be settled by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, by a single arbitrator, rather than in court. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this agreement to arbitrate. The arbitrator decides the dispute and can award the same individual remedies a court could.
Arbitration is less formal than a lawsuit. It can be held where you live, or handled by phone, video, or on documents alone if you prefer. You and we each give up the right to a trial by jury.
Step three: individually, not as a class
Claims must be brought individually. Neither of us may bring a class action, act as a class representative, or have claims combined with anyone else’s, and the arbitrator may not run a class proceeding. If that restriction is held unenforceable for a particular claim, then that claim, and only that claim, leaves arbitration and goes to court; the rest stays in arbitration.
What is carved out
- Either of us may bring a claim in small claims court instead, as long as it stays there and stays individual.
- Either of us may ask a court for an injunction to stop misuse of intellectual property.
- This clause covers the website and requests sent through it. A dispute about installation work is governed by the dispute terms in the contract for that job, not by this page.
- Nothing here stops you from reporting a concern to a government agency.
If we later change this section, the change does not apply to a dispute we already knew about.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. If any part of this document is held unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce something straight away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours if the business is sold, and your rights are unaffected if we do.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top always shows when the current version took effect, and where a change is significant we will say what changed rather than expecting you to compare versions. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the updated terms. If you would rather not, stop using the site and call us instead; you can also still send your project details under the version in force when you send them.
How to reach us
