MIT needed campus-wide IP security camera coverage, and the structured cabling to carry it, installed at a scale most integrators never touch.
A campus is not one building. Camera counts, cable paths, and head-end locations had to be planned across many structures so the system would behave as one, and be maintainable by campus staff after we left.
We treated the cable plant as the foundation and the cameras as the payload: every run was designed, pulled, terminated, and labeled before a single camera went live.
Installation ran building by building with testing at each stage, so coverage came online in verified sections rather than all at once. Labeled drawings and a device list were handed over with the system.
- IP cameras
- Large-scale camera coverage across the campus
- Structured cabling
- The cable runs that carry every camera back to the head end
- Scale
- A campus-wide installation, not a single building
